Joke of the Week
There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who know binary, and those who don't.
This recipe is experimental. I have only made it once, and I only wrote the directions down several hours later, so I could have made mistakes.
It could use some further refinment, but makes a good solid bread that goes well with peanut putter (but then, what doesn't?).
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 smashed bananas
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon yeast
Directions
- Mix all ingredients throughly.
- Dump in a greased bread pan.
- Cover and let rise for 1.5 hours or so.
- Cook at 350 degrees F for about an 1.25 hours.
- Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing for cleanest cutting.
